Véronique Jorge received a M.S in Phytopathology from University Paris XI and a Ph. D on genetics of cassava resistance to bacteriosis (2000).
Since 2001, she works in the research unit “Integrated Biology for valorisation of diversity of forests and trees” (BIOFORA) at Orléans, a joint unit between INRAE and ONF (National French Forest Service).
Véronique works on genetics of poplars with two main research themes:
– The study of genetic architecture of complex traits in poplars using QTL and GWAS approaches, with the objective of using these informations in poplar breeding program.
– The identification of factors that shape genetic diversity in Populus nigra. She has been involved in the developing of several genomic resources (sequence and chip array; Faivre-Rampant et al. 2016).
