Eric Rigolot
Eric Rigolot is deputy director of the URFM (Ecology of Mediterran
ean Forests) research unit at INRA in Avignon, where he is holding a position of research engineer with the Physics and Fire Ecology research group. His domains of experience and expertise are fire ecology, tree mortality, fuel modeling, fuel management and prescribed fire, mainly applied to the Mediterranean pine communities. Very recently, he has been co-coordinating the European integrated project Fire Paradox (6° PCRD, 2006-2010): An innovative approach of integrated wildfire fire management regulating the wildfire problem by the wise use of fire. This project included 36 teams from 15 countries from Europe, Africa, South America and Asia.
