Scientists <a href=\"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1007\/s13593-017-0450-x\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Gonz\u00e1lez-Chang et al.<\/a> have found that silicon-based dusts applied to vine leaves and crushed mussel shells placed in the under-vine areas can reduce the damage caused by this pest.
