Agronomists <a href=\"http:\/\/dx.doi.org\/10.1007\/s13593-015-0288-z\" target=\"_blank\">Dollinger et al.<\/a> review the major ecosystem services provided by ditches, e.g. flood regulation, water purification, pesticide retention and wildlife conservation.
